We were contacted by Contech Co-Founders who were looking for help with the creation of a pitch deck to use for their next seed capital fund raise.
Solution delivered:
After talking with the co-founders to understand their journey, we spent time researching and understanding their go-to-market story, which would ultimately form the basis of their pitch deck.
Through these discussions, we understood the company’s value matrix, together with the user’s journey through their solution, and explored the competitive landscape and how their business was differentiated from the rest. We also learned more about their product market fit and the size of their addressable market. Equally importantly, we ensured we fully understood their strategic roadmap to ascertain the opportunities.
Working collaboratively, a pitch deck was produced that took potential investors on their journey, and clearly set out the opportunity, the valuation and how the funds raised would be used.
Once the pitch deck was prepared, we spent time with the Co-Founders to review and revise the deck over several iterations, including sourcing feedback from existing investors, to ensure that the final deck reflected a clear and concise message. This was important as the pitch deck needed to stand alone when sent to potential investors, allowing them to quickly understand and evaluate the Founders’ proposition relative to their funds’ investment criteria.
To further help the founders, ‘dry runs’ were also undertaken to ensure that their voiceover to the deck was succinct and that they were comfortable highlighting the key messages.
Results achieved:
The result for the co-founders was the completion of a successful seed funding raise, with two new investors and a subsequent follow-on investment from their existing VCs, allowing their business to continue its scale up and growth plans.
