We were approached by a private equity fund looking to make a minority investment in a building products manufacturing business, as well as looking to undertake a bolt-on acquisition as part of the investment.

Following the client’s initial approach, we spent time talking with them to better understand and quickly assimilate their investment thesis to help identify the areas where we could add the most value to them.
Time was also spent talking with the Founders of the building products manufacturing business, to enrich our understanding and help to ensure there was goal congruence.
Based on these discussions, we identified the risk areas for the transaction, as well as the acquisition planning and integration phases needed to ensure successful planning, acquisition and integration of the two businesses.
Time was then spent supporting the fund with understanding how to resource and undertake the potential transaction.
Results achieved:
Based upon the support provided, the private equity fund proceeded with the transaction.
